My Story
Since the time I discovered my love for art as a child, I have worked in many different media, including, acrylic, oil, and even wood burning. But my favorite is watercolor.

My professional studies began a number of years ago, at the Betzalel Academy of Art and Design (Uman Division) in Jerusalem, Israel. For the past five years I have continued expanding my skill set at the Start Institute of Art in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel.

If my art in any way inspires you and/or evokes emotion, then I am reaching my goals and living my dream. Please drop me a note and let me know what you liked most and why. I'd love to hear from you.

The Kotel
Also known as the Wailing wall and the Western wall
This piece was created for an art exhibition. The theme was Nishmas Kol Chai, that G-d is the One who hears the prayers of all living beings. I chose to depict the Western Wall, known in Hebrew simply as HaKotel, The Wall. It is probably the most famous and holy site in the world for Jews, for it is to this location that millions of people come annually to pour out their hearts to G-d and plea for His guidance and help. This is also one of the most visited sites in the world where people come to praise and give thanks to G-d, the Master of the Universe.
I painted the Kotel with a very specific angle and with a different color pallet than most people are used to seeing associated with the Kotel. I wanted a dramatic picture. In particular, I wanted to make people stop and look and most of all, think how, why and whether they connect to G-d or not.

Nachlaot
This painting was drawn at the request of my husband. I had recently finished many scenic pictures and he wanted to challenge me with something else. I wasn't so enthusiastic about it in the beginning, but as it developed, I really enjoyed the process. It was a lot of fun since I got to play with shadows in key places and develop the depth of perspective which I wanted the viewer to experience. I just love looking at this painting. It evokes emotion of joy, simplicity and family and has become one of my favorites.
Old Yaffo Port
This painting was extremely challenging for me to draw. Before I get out my watercolors, I first sketch the painting in pencil.
Before sketching this painting, I spent many hours looking at boats in the harbor. Studying multiple perspectives before choosing exactly how I wanted them depicted in relation to the wall and the buildings in the background.
I am very pleased with the result, and feel it was well worth the effort.
